Learning Experience
This weekend has been a busy one, but while not much got done as in things actually being finished, I did make progress with lots of things, and I learnt some stuff in the process.
I have learnt how to get a Wireless card to work on my Linux box. However, while it will now see the DHCP server upstairs and get an IP address, it invariably freezes the whole system within about 5 minutes. That’s not good. So this evening I shall be learning some more as I try to figure out how to uninstall the module and try the lastest CVS version, which allegedly has fixes that stop this happening in it.
I got a frame for the 30″x20″ print of this photo I had done (and it came out brilliantly, courtesy of these people, drilled a hole in the wall and hung it up in my room. I even adjusted my projector light things so it is lit nicely.
I got this to work after lots of fiddling about with the location of font files. Expect to see it somewhere soon.
I took the Mini up to somewhere picturesque and got lots of photos of it so I can really go to town on my next eBay effort with it. It will sell this time!
Most importantly though, Kate visited, and we had a great time together, even though it’s been busy busy busy. Dinner at the Mill Race on Friday was great – I had Pork Loin with black pudding mash and cider gravy, while Kate had the grey mullet. Not to be confused with an old persons hair style…
…and you were such bad company that I decided to do work on my management module.
