Election!
Well, it’s nearly here and no one has really moved in the polls. Labour are still winning by 10%, and the Conservatives are about 10% in front of the Liberal Democrats. Of course, this tells you little about the next parliament, because if things stay the way they are, Labour will still have a huge majority. It only takes a little swing in some marginal constituencies to change the face of politics in this country.
The sad thing is that Labour will get into government again. I couldn’t vote for them on the whole “Saddam Hussein could blow us up in 45 minutes with his enormous weapons of mass deliberation”, then it turning out there were none. I can’t vote Conservative because I’m not old, so I’m left with the Liberal Democrats.
The problem I have here is that while I agree with nearly all of their policies, and I am pleased with their refreshingly honest manner, I’m not sure about the local income tax. But then I can vote for them because it’s unlikely they’ll form a government and they have a good selection of “non-evil” policies. Or should I just vote for the independant guy standing in Hereford?
You’ll never find a Party that you’ll agree with totally. And with the FPTP system it’s often difficult to see how voting for a smaller party that you might agree with more can make a difference. Still, it’s better to vote in either of those cases than not to, as my sister threatens much to the anger of my mum.

What I really want to know is why there has been over a month gap since your last entry? How is your girlfriend? You still haven’t told us much about her!?
I’m fine
Hi Kate! Nice to hear from you! As Alex is such a lazy git, I’ll ask you myself. How did you meet? How long you been going out now? I am glad he his happy again, reading some of his depressed blog entries was difficult to take.
Well lots of interest happened, but I couldn’t really be bothered to write about it!
