You Will Randomly Annoy Me If…
You offer me a Gmail account. It’s not a personal thing, but I will make judgements about your views on civil liberties if you offer me one. I don’t care whether a piece of software or a person reads the contents of my e-mail. I don’t care if the contents are innocuous. It’s the equivilent of a guy at the post office opening every single piece of your post, noting down the contents and then sending you junk mail based on the contents. It’s wrong and I don’t like it. Just like I was trying to explain to the Asda checkout monkey last Saturday that I didn’t have to tell him my post code.
If you’ve got a Gmail account, well done. Just please don’t expect me to reply an e-mail from one, or at least send me another address to reply to…
Have you actually read their terms of service? There is, to be honest, nothing in there that’s worse than anybody else.
It’s not like all our email isn’t already being read anyway. More GPG!
Hmph, just look at this scare-mongering. While most of it is over the top, some of it is a good point. I’m just not interested…
From what I hear it’s easier to archive a message than it is to delete it, so there is active encouragement for people to keep every message…
(btw, I think you’re missing a bold-cancelling thingy like this -> )
Missing a closing bold tag? one of these – <\b>? Yeah, I noticed. Can’t edit it in the office, because I can’t log into the database for some reason. Really need to add editing entries to the Admin functions…
Erm, that’s an opening bold tag. No wonder there’s a problem
So if I email someone at gmail, am I opening myself up to spam?
I’m gonna close that bold tag no matter how many it takes!
i get more spam from my yahoo account than i do gmail, and i never use the damn thing!
