Ok, so it’s 6:50am at the moment, and I have my last exam at 9am. I’ve just been through an previous paper writing my answers in a note form, and I seem to be able to write at least enough on them. Although knowing me I’ve overestimated how much time it’ll take me to write them, and finish them in about 10 minutes. D’oh! Still I’m feeling reasonably confident. I think my 2:1 all hinges on this last exam. Am I the only one who thinks this is just a tad daft that I’ve done 24 modules worth of work and it all comes down to hinging on this last one? Hmm. Anyway, I say hinges, but then I spent ages with a piece of paper convincing myself that I’ve scored high enough on my other modules for it to hinge on it. The reality probably is that I didn’t do enough on the other ones so this is largely immaterial. I hope for a 2:1 though – really don’t want a 2:2 with like 59%, that’d just piss me off greatly. We’ll see then. Wish me luck.

Had another exam today. The less said about that the better. Hope it doesn’t pull my average down too much – just have to kick ass on the remaining exam and coursework. Anyway, I ordered Bowling for Columbine which turned up today, and I promptly watched in the post exam downtime. A truly excellent film – the US can certainly seem like a scary place at times, especially with the arch thief in charge. Anyway, I’d heard there was a commentary by Michael Moore on the disc, but damn crappy Region 2, it’s not on there! What is the point in doing this?! I thought we were way past this. It’s bad enough that they used to inflict flippers on us (where you had to turn the disc over half way through the movie), but now they’re still screwing us with extras! Aargh! I’m considering sending it back and getting the R1 version in said. If they are by different distributors anyway. The Region 2 lot don’t deserve anymore custom.

You know, I’ve been sitting here waiting to get some work done while my currently on the blink PC does a thorough Scandisk (how much time does it take to get through 11Gb?!), and I’ve realised that now that university is nearly over, and with me planning to take the summer relatively easy, I can have some time to enjoy some of the things I really love. Like films – I don’t know why, but I love watching a good film, and especially on good equipment in my own home, and what with all this stuff I’ve picked up relatively cheaply (huge telly, surround sound, DVD player) I can can really sit down and enjoy it.
Further to this I can play some games on my computer, which I haven’t done properly for ages now. Half Life 2 is looking seriously impressive (although, am I the only one who wonders what happened to Team Fortress 2?) but I’ll need to get some better PC hardware, but that’ll be fun anyway. Especially, as I think my faulty fan might have damaged some bits anyway.
I can also play around with doing some cool web development stuff. I’ve been trying to come up with a plan to make my million, but so far only had a couple of ideas, and I’m not sure they’ll run. But I’ll certainly be doing some experiments over the summer. Seems like a good time to have a play with these sorts of things anyway as the job market pretty much sucks, and I can easily get a job to tide me over until I find something to do that I’d love.
Finally, I can spend some time at race tracks get the feel for the situation. I’m going to miss the racing I do here at University, and I want something to do afterwards. I’ve got a few ideas people seem to be interested in, so I think I’l definately be doing something.
Although my upcoming exams are quite a scary prospect, the future after the exams is certainly looking quite interesting, and I can’t wait.
Oh, and it’s also my sister’s 18th today. Happy Birthday and that!
